Come join us as we partner together with Christ to equip Pastors and spread the truth of the Gospel to the people of Uganda.

HOW WE BUILD A CHURCH PLANT

Breaking Ground Missions (BGM) emphasizes that the church is not a building but the body of believers united in Christ, while still recognizing the importance of a meeting place for worship. In Uganda, where many gather under trees rather than in modern facilities, BGM builds simple, functional structures that provide shelter and allow local congregations to shape their space. Each build also includes a required public latrine.

Initially, BGM coordinated land purchases, materials, and volunteer labor through sponsoring churches, but this proved inefficient.

Today, BGM uses its own construction team, ensuring better resource management and higher quality church buildings for Ugandan communities.

So the Church Plant sponsor can see how their obedience to God is changing lives, BGM provides the following:

•  A detailed breakout of exactly how the provided resources were

   expensed

•  Church sign featuring the name of the sponsor

•  Video of the first church service with the new pastor and his family

EVERYONE NEEDS COMMUNITY

Just as the first Church was planted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, BGM has always understood that simply evangelizing the Ugandan people was not enough.

We all need community.

Community with fellow believers and a place to call our Church home. BGM accomplishes this part of our work by securing sponsorship for each new Church plant before we lay hands to the work. BGM evangelism teams have already been to the village where we plan to build. The prospective new pastors have already been praying over and getting to know the people of the village. Once God opens the door to build we then send in our construction team to get started.
